Pleasantly surprised by this joint in Palmdale, serving authentic Cuban fare. If budget allows the surf and turf is amazing, specialty the turf. Start it off with a Sangria or 100 year old cigar cocktail.
This review is long overdue! We brought my mother-in-law here for Mother’s Day, and it was our first time visiting. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The ceviche was especially amazing so flavorful and fresh! Most importantly, my mother-in-law was so happy, which made the experience even more special. We live in Los Angeles, so finding a great restaurant near Lancaster wasn’t easy, but this place exceeded all of our expectations. The food was a 10/10, and the service was an easy 20/10! Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We can’t wait for another excuse to visit my mother-in-law so we can come back and eat here again. Highly recommended!
Where do I start? This place is a gem hidden right in-between the most beautiful mountain views and the bustling city streets of Palmdale. Food is authentic. Trust me, I would know! I grew up on this type of food and OMG they really use the freshest and tastiest ingredients. They treat the food with care and you can really tell. Im obsessed with the Ceviche. They put MANGO inside of and its to die for. The amount if plantain chips that it comes with is also appreciated 👏. Their croquettas are are some of the BEST I've had in my entire life. The crisp, the smokey ham filling, the sauce. Its amazing. The Lechon Asado and Mojo sauce is savory and probably the best I've ever had as well. Gabi is also one of the nicest and most professional waitresses I've encountered in all my years of being a foodie. She remembered us from 2 weeks before and also knew what coffee we would want because she remembered our order completely! I was so impressed. If you want a little taste of Cuba paired hospitality and fresh tastes, then please give this place a try! I come here every Sunday
It’s rare find places lately that have excellent food as well as service. Baracoa absolutely has both. The food was all very unique and delicious, the hot sauce served with the Vaca Frita upon request was amazing. The coffee has the perfect ratio of sweet and bitterness. And the selection of cocktails is great. Something for every taste for food and drink here. On top of everything service was fast, well versed on the menu, and checked in multiple times during our stay. We will definitely be returning to this little gem.
We had such a great experience here! From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. Our waiter was absolutely fantastic—attentive, friendly, and genuinely kind. He made sure our drinks were always filled, checked in at the perfect times, and gave great recommendations. You can tell customer service truly matters to this team. The food was just as impressive—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and you could really taste the quality. It’s rare to find a place that nails both service and food, but they absolutely do. Hands down one of the best spots in the AV when it comes to customer service and overall tasty food. We’ll definitely be back!
I've visited Palmdale for work on three occasions over the past three months.. I've visited Baracoa two of of those three times.. On my first ever visit in Dec 2025, I sampled the Vaca Frita Sandwich featuring tender shredded beef seared crispy with grilled onions and mayo.. The Vaca Frita was quite flavorful and was amply portioned.. I truly enjoyed that first dining experience.. My second visit (Feb 2026) had me trying the Ensalada de Pollo with balsamic vinegarette dressing on the side.. Again, the portion size was quite robust and the salad was served cold and crisp.. The grilled chicken was a nice addition, too.. On both occasions I enjoyed classic Mojitos and we dined on the patio.. Tonight's weather was perfect and the ambiance offered by the outdoor firepits was a nice touch.. Juan M did an outstanding job serving our group of 12 or so and delivered everything to everybody exactly as we ordered it.. His efficiency was impressive.. Cristina S delivered similar outstanding service to our party of four during our visit in December.. I am looking forward to future visits as business brings me back to Palmdale in the future..
Wonderful restaurant, dinner for 5 was as all around excellent as dinner for 2 the night before. Everyone is a delight and authentically pleased you are there. Daniel and his staff went over and above for special dietary needs for someone in our large group. Food was terrific both nights. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and said they would dine there again. It's a small space, but very nicely put together all around.
Delicious experience. Started with the empenadas. I ordered the chicken breast. The chicken was very flavorful. Plantains were perfect. For dessert, I had the flan. The flan was so creamy and delicious. The cortado coffee is perfect if you love a strong but creamy and sweet coffee. I enjoyed everything and I'm sure you'll find something you like if you're in the mood for some Cuban food.
I have been here multiple times and recently went here to celebrate my mother in laws birthday. They allowed us to store her gluten free cupcakes with them and they brought them out at the end of dinner. I highly recommend the mocktails and you cant go wrong with any of the food.
Hands down!! Great restaurant. Came to celebrate my birthday with friends. Food was amazing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So delicious and everything was tasty, great flavors. Meat was tender, juicy, soft. So delicious. We ordered Tour of Cuban, was perfect for two, and we had leftovers to take home. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their food as well. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The drinks were also great. The service was excellent. We sat outside on the patio and really enjoyed the live Jazz music by Herbie. He was super fun and awesome. He was allot of fun, very entertaining. Would definitely like to come back and listen to his music and enjoy great food. This place overall was a hit for me and our group. We all loved it. There’s outdoor seating and indoor dining. It’s family friendly, but we choose an evening time to enjoy with just the adults. If you’re a large group, make reservations. This place gets packed quickly. If you have never been here, and not sure, give it a try. It’s all delicious. Great staff!! Kudos to the Chief. Bomb!! Bomb!!
